A great camp for time out and bible teaching for ministry couples and families.

This camp is organised by Ministry and Mission . Each person in paid ministry should receive information and registration details prior to the next camp (2022), in follow up of the information sent with the mailing of “Humble and Lowly” in 2020.

At the camp the Women’s Ministry Committee puts on an afternoon session for ministry wives to meet other wives, along with women workers to spend time in the word together, learn from each other and build connections and pray with each other.

More information will be available on the ministry and mission website in due course. Click here to go to their website. In the meantime, the contact person is Paul McKendrick at church offices, use our contact page for assistance to contact him.

The first Refresh is scheduled for Tuesday 19 to Friday 22 April 2022 (after Easter).

More information to follow.

Reflections from Ministers’ Family Camp 2019:

Over 40 women attended the afternoon session for Ministry Wives. They heard Women’s Ministry Facilitator Anna Moss present a bible talk and outline what she is doing in her role as the Women’s Ministry Facilitator. Overall it was an encouraging time for spending time in God’s Word, networking and praying together.

Jenni from the Women’s Ministry Committee writes following the Ministers’ Family Camp in October 2017:

Ministers’ Family Camp is a great opportunity for ministers’ wives from around NSW to make friendships and build relationships with other ministers’ wives. The Women’s Ministry Committee organised an afternoon for ministry wives during the camp, to gather together for Bible teaching, sharing, encouragement and prayer. Thanks to PY for running a childcare program and crèche during this time. Ministry wives were encouraged to check the Women’s Ministry website and Facebook pages regularly. The women were excited to hear of the imminent appointment of a Women’s Ministry Facilitator and prayed for the woman who will fill this position.

Karen McMillan from Drummoyne PC spoke on Ministry Marriages. She gave an excellent presentation with both Biblical teaching and practical tips gained from her experience. Her talk included group brainstorming on The Impact of Ministry on Marriage and The Power of Marriage in Ministry, giving everyone a chance to share their ministry experiences. Karen also recommended books on marriage which she has found helpful. The women then broke into small groups to share and to pray.

The feedback was very positive and ministry wives appreciate the helpful and practical teaching, the encouragement and the relationship-building.

Thanks to Sylvia who co-organised the event and to Sarah who helped on the day.
